Commission for the Scientific and Technological Development in Central America and Panama - CTCAP
Constitutive agreement
It was created in 1976 and became part of the Central American Integration System in 1994.

Structure
The highest authority is the Regional Sectorial Council of Science and Technology of Central America and Panama made up by the Ministers in charge of Science and Technology.

Functions
Coordination of the field of science and technology in order to integrate, coordinate and strengthen the regional system through the formulation and implementation of policies and strategies, and coordination of the execution and follow-up and harmonization of the policies approved by other authorities. Also, look for international cooperation and serve as discussion forum.
