Consultative Committee of the Central American Integration System - CCSICA
Constitutive agreement
The Consultative Committee of the Central American Integration System (CC-SICA) is the independent and autonomous body of the civil society responsible for strengthening integration, development and democracy in the region since its foundation and incorporation as body of the Central American Integration System (SICA) in 1996. The Consultative Committee of the Central American Integration System was created according to Art. 12 of the Protocol of Tegucigalpa (1991) and paragraph 34 of the Agenda of Guatemala 1993 of the XV Meeting of Central American Presidents.

Structure
The CC-SICA consists of the regional organizations representing the civil society committed to achieve the integration of the isthmus.

Functions
-Advise the General Secretarial (SG-SICA) with regard to regional organization policy and Central American integration process with the scope specified by the Protocol of Tegucigalpa. -Formulate recommendations and propose initiatives before the relevant instances regarding the Central American integration process through SG-SICA channels in order to promote it and contribute to settle and prevent conflicts which may affect such process. -Keep in permanent contact with SG-SICA and the various bodies of the System in order to obtain the necessary information to generate initiatives, formulate recommendations, and follow up the activities of the System.
